What this covers
DEWA controls every electrical and water connection in Dubai. Any fit-out that adds load, relocates a distribution board, alters the incoming supply or needs a new meter requires DEWA approval before energisation. For most commercial fit-outs this runs alongside the Municipality and Civil Defence submissions rather than after them.
What we prepare
- Connected and maximum demand load calculations
- Single-line diagram showing the full distribution arrangement
- Distribution board schedules and cable sizing
- Earthing and bonding design
- Meter application and substation coordination where required
- Water supply and drainage connection details
Check capacity first — always
The single most expensive failure in any fit-out is discovering mid-build that the building cannot deliver the electrical load you need. A supply upgrade is measured in months, not days. On any project with significant demand — commercial kitchens, server rooms, clinics with imaging equipment — we verify available capacity before a single drawing is produced. It costs nothing at that stage and it protects your entire programme.
